Jonathan Fishman is the founder of Bizydev, a relationship-driven business development firm headquartered in New York City. Before founding Bizydev in 2019, Jonathan spent 15 years as a value-add real estate owner-operator: 50+ acquisitions, over a billion dollars in acquisition value, hands on across acquiring, capital raising, operating, and repositioning. The discipline of value-add real estate (looking at what exists today and finding the path to improve and grow it) is the same discipline he now brings to Bizydev clients.
Six-plus years running Bizydev, layered onto fifteen years as a real estate operator, gives Jonathan a network built over two and a half decades and the judgment to know which person, company, or moment actually fits with another. That combination has produced 100+ engagements and more than 5,000 pipeline-generating opportunities, not because the network is large, but because it gets aimed with judgment.
The product is not a longer contact list. It is the experience to see how existing relationships, business needs, and market timing can come together into a genuine opportunity — and the follow-through to help that opportunity grow into something commercially meaningful.
Bizydev puts an existing network of trusted relationships to work on behalf of clients. But access alone is not the point. The advantage is knowing which person, company, or opportunity actually fits with another, and helping that relationship develop into customer opportunity, strategic partnership, or access to capital.
We work with a small number of companies at a time, by design, typically where the offering is differentiated and the next phase of growth depends on relationships outside the company’s current reach.
When growth depends on the right relationships, the right conversation is where real pipeline starts.
